I received a bag of nice looking purple sweet potatoes. I love purple sweet potatoes, it has quite a bit of nutritional benefits. Purple sweet potatoes are good for warding off cancer cells. I was very excited to cook and enjoy these potatoes. Upon steaming two on a steamer , I was very disappointed to find out that it wasn’t really purple sweet potatoes. (I did not boil them in water, I streamed them). The meat of the potatoes were more they than purple. They were definitely sweet potatoes ( they were sweet), but not purple potatoes. I don’t think that I will purchase this particular variety of sweet potatoes again.

It's different from the picture. Aren't California purple sweet potatoes supposed to be very purple?

The first batch was all the same size; if they taste good, I'll buy them again.
